It’s like this changing landscape
Writer Ixiar Rozas wrote me one day with the request if I could answer some questions about the role of the voice in my work. I had just created Living Archive, a solo where I hardly speak but get ‘voiced’ through the prosthetic devices of magnetic reel to reel players, audio casssettes, walkmans and other devices that I use to re-play the sounds of my life, collected over more than 30 years. It’s like this changing landscape is the response to Ixiar, a short spinn-off, an audio-piece (10’49”), which was inserted finally in a extended lecture on the voice in contemporary dance and performance by Rozas (Barcelona, March 2012).
