I read Patsy's bio several years ago. (Real name Ruby Blevins.) Her great
wish was to be a member of the C-W Hall of Fame. She became one,
but it was only after she died.
She was a pioneer. Should have been one of the first members.
Anyhoo I heard her a few decades back on a radio interview. She
demonstrated the difference between a Swiss yodel and a
cowboy yodel.
She made a 3rd version of her great hit. Title was something like " I
want to be a cowboy grandpa's sweetheart."

This version was recorded by Patsy several years after her original classic. She was backed up by The Light Crust Doughboys on this version. On the original, she was backed by The Prairie Ramblers, who backed her up on most of her original hits. This version's lyrics update Patsy's story from a girl wanting to be a cowboy's sweetheart to a girl who has found her true love and "settled down on a ranch of her own" with children.
